By building its Customer Portal, Pražská plynárenská, a.s. has applied new trends in communication with customers.

Objective

The objective of the project was a change in communication with existing as well as new customers of the company:

  • To replace the customer’s personal visit made by the supplier’s representative with comfortable electronic communication at the highest level of contemporary standards
  • Proactive promotion of news and information for the general public connected to the Internet

Description

AMI Praha, a.s. implemented the project in close cooperation with Business Holders from the client environment of Pražská plynárenská, a.s. This cooperation resulted in the implementation of the follow‑up project for the development and implementation of an application set named “Reservation System”. The applications known as “Reservation of meeting with regional representative”, “Reservation of visit at counter”, “On‑line discussion” and “Information zone - news” filled the portal with factual content. All the objectives set by the client and supplier were fulfilled by the implementation of both projects.

Description

The Customer Portal was implemented on the Liferay open‑source portal and the JBoss application server on the Java EE platform.
